They may play for a mid-table Championship team with little to play for, but Jarrod Bowen and Kamil Grosicki are pulling up trees at Hull City at the moment.
Striker Bowen has won plenty of plaudits this season - his 21 Championship goals reportedly alerting the likes of Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino to his talents - while Polish playmaker Grosicki has long been regarded as one of the Championship's most creative players when he is on his game.
Although the Tigers' overall form has been patchy since the turn of the year (5 wins, 3 draws and 6 losses), Bowen and Grosicki have kicked into overdrive individually: Bowen scoring more league goals (11) than any top 4 tier player in 2019, and Grosicki recording more assists (8) than any player across the top 4 divisions of English football.
It's an incredible statistic that should hopefully highlight which players Hull's next opponents, Ipswich Town, should focus their attentions on. The Tigers visit the Tractor Boys, who are adrift at the bottom of the Championship table, on Saturday.
🐯🐯DUOPOLY. @HullCity boast the top marksman AND the top assister across the top 4 tiers in 2019!
