According to self-proclaimed football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur defender Emerson Royal could leave the club in the upcoming summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the Brazilian full-back is the subject of interest from seven-time European champions AC Milan with several other clubs also interested.
There is an expectation that Emerson Royal will be among many other players expected to leave Tottenham Hotspur alongside the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Giovani Lo Celso, Manor Solomon and Bryan Gil.
25-year-old Emerson joined Spurs for a fee believed to be in the region of around £25.8 million from Barcelona in the summer of 2019, just a few weeks after Emerson arrived at Barcelona.
He began his career in Brazil with Ponte Preta before moving to Atletico Mineiro. He joined Real Betis on loan in 2019 before signing permanently for Barcelona but then spent two seasons back out on loan at Betis.
Internationally, he has been capped ten times for the Brazilian national team and was a part of the Selecao squad that reached the final of the 2021 CONMEBOL Copa America but eventually lost to Argentina.
Emerson Royal is not out of contract at Tottenham this summer so his departure would need someone such as AC Milan to pay a fee for the defender.
