Hibernian defeat St. Mirren

Hibernian beat St. Mirren in a close win on Saturday, 1x0, on matchday 1. Both Paul Heckingbottom's team and Jim Goodwin's team made their first game in the competition. In the starting XI there was Adam Jackson, Joshua Vela and Joe Newell. Dean Lyness didn't leave the bench.

After 55 minutes, Jonathan Obika came on. In the 65th minute, Joshua Vela was subbed. After 85 minutes, Scott Allan scored Hibernian's only goal of the game, laid on by Christian Doidge.
