In the 16th minute, Rudy Gestede opened the score for Middlesbrough, through a header inside the penalty area. After 41 minutes, Evandro fired home for Hull City, from a corner, laid on by Jon Toral. With 45 minutes on the clock, Patrick Bamford struck the second goal for Tony Pulis's team, with a right-foot strike inside the box.
