Napoli overcame Shakhtar Donetsk, 1x2, on Wednesday, in a match relating to the Grp.A of UEFA Youth League. Both Sergiy Shishchenko's team and Giampaolo Saurini's team held their first game in the competition.
The opening goal was scored by Gianluca Gaetano after 44 minutes.
