Paysandu wins and overtakes Madureira

Paysandu beat Madureira in a close win on Wednesday, 0x1, in a match relating of Copa do Brasil. Both Rio de Janeiro (RJ)'s team and Belém (PA)'s team held their first game in the competition.

After 34 minutes, Denilson scored Paysandu's only goal of the game, through a header inside the penalty area, after a pass from Ruy.

With this result, Paysandu are through to the next round of the competition. In the next fixture, Itamar Schülle's team will host CRB.
