Malta overcame Ilhas Faroé, 2x1, on Saturday, in a match relating to the Grp.F of Euro (Q). Both Raymond Farrugia's team and Lars Olsen's team made their first game in the competition.

Jákup Thomsen netted the last goal with 90 minutes already on the clock through a header inside the penalty box. With this goal, Jákup Thomsen reached the landmark of five goals this season.
