Sporting overcome Rio Ave

Sporting overcame Rio Ave, 5x2, on Wednesday, in a match relating to the Last 16 of Taça de Portugal. Abdoulay Diaby runned the show.

The opening goal was scored by Abdoulay Diaby after 3 minutes, with a right-foot strike. With this goal, Abdoulay Diaby reached the landmark of five goals this season. With 32 minutes on the clock, Bas Dost fired home Sporting second goal, with a left-foot strike inside the box. Shortly before the interval, Bruno Fernandes doubled the lead for leões, with a right-foot shot.  In a very unlucky moment, Bruno Gaspar scored an own-goal with 45 minutes already played.
