América overcome Pumas

América overcame Pumas, 6x1, on Monday, in a match relating to the semi-finals of México Apertura. Renato Ibarra made a great performance with 1 goal along with 2 assists.

Renato Ibarra opened the score after 8 minutes. With 24 minutes on the clock, Carlos González fired home for Pumas, assisted by Pablo Barrera. After 28 minutes, Bruno Valdez struck the second goal for América, laid on by Matheus Uribe.  after 36 minutes, Miguel Herrera's team extended their lead with a goal from Roger Martínez . With this goal, Roger Martínez reached the landmark of five goals this season. 

After the break, Guido Rodríguez doubled the lead for América. It was his 5th goal of the season.  after 50 minutes, Miguel Herrera's team increased their lead with a goal from Diego Lainez.  Emanuel Aguilera netted the last goal with 71 minutes on the clock from the penalty spot. In the 80th minute, Alan Mozo left the game early after seeing a red card.

With this result, América are into the next round of the competition. With regard to the next fixture, Miguel Herrera's team will play at home against Cruz Azul.
