After 48 minutes, Raúl Castro struck for The Strongest, with a right-foot shot from outside the penalty box, laid on by Ruddy Cardozo. In the 86th minute, Antonio Bareiro scored the second goal for Asunción's team, with a right-foot strike inside the penalty box, after a pass from Salustiano Candia. Óscar Cardozo netted the last goal in the closing stages of the game from the penalty spot.
In the next fixture, Libertad will play at home against Atlético Tucumán, whilst The Strongest will play away against Peñarol.
