Newell´s Old Boys hosted and defeated Talleres

Newell´s Old Boys overcame Talleres, 2x1, on Monday, on matchday 23. In this competition, Omar De Felippe's team came from a draw, and Frank Kudelka's team came from two defeats.

The opening goal was scored by Victor Figueroa with 3 minutes on the clock. Shortly before the interval, Santiago Silva fired home for Talleres, from the penalty spot.

Jerónimo Cacciabue scored the winner in the 84th minute.

After the result Talleres are 5th in the table, with 41 points, while Newell´s Old Boys sit 21st place, with 27 points. In relation to forthcoming league matches, Omar De Felippe's team will play away against Boca Juniors, whilst Frank Kudelka's team will play at home against Gimnasia.
