Chelsea defeated Arsenal in a close win on Sunday, 3x2, in a game relating to mathweek 7. Before this matchday, blues came from a draw, and Joseph Montemurro's team came from two wins.
The first goal of the game was scored by Maren Mjelde, with 23 minutes on the clock.
After 56 minutes, Vivianne Miedema struck for Arsenal, assisted by Jordan Nobbs. After 60 minutes, Ji So-yun scored the second goal for Chelsea, laid on by Ramona Bachmann. Joseph Montemurro's team scored their second goal of the game through Dominique Bloodworth-Janssen, after 63 minutes. In an unfortunate moment Sari van Veenendaal scored an own goal with 83 minutes on the clock.
After the result Chelsea are 2nd in the table, with 17 points, while Arsenal sit 3rd place, with 13 points. In their next fixture, blues will host Everton, whilst Joseph Montemurro's team will play away against Reading.
