Burton Albion move on to the next round of League Cup 

Burton Albion edged out Cardiff City in a close win on Tuesday, 1x2, in a game relating to mathweek 2. In this competition, both teams came from a win.

The first goal was scored by Tom Naylor in the 26th minute, from a corner.

With 70 minutes on the clock, Ben Fox doubled the lead for Burton Albion, through a header.  Anthony Pilkington netted the last goal after 76 minutes.
