West Bromwich Albion returned to the top six in the Championship after securing a 2-0 win in a Midlands derby against Coventry City at The Coventry Building Society Arena.
The opening goal came in the 17th minute when Grady Diangana capitalised on a rebound, slotting the ball into the net from close range after Coventry's goalkeeper, Ben Wilson, parried the ball his way.
The second goal was a spectacular effort, as Matt Phillips set up substitute Brandon Thomas-Asante brilliantly, who fired a shot past Wilson and sealed the win for the Baggies.
Unfortunately for the Sky Blues, this defeat marked their third consecutive loss in the league and will remain in the 20th position on the table, although they are only eight points behind West Bromwich Albion, who are currently in fifth place.
