Che Adams has started 2019 like a train - the Birmingham City striker currently the hottest shot across the top 4 divisions of English football in 2019. 

Blackburn Rovers were the latest to suffer the wrath of Adams, the former Sheffield United forward hitting a double against Rovers in his side's 2-2 draw at St Andrews. 

From the turn of the year, Adams has now played 9 games - 8 in League One, 1 in the FA Cup - and scored 10 goals, including a hat-trick in a thrilling win at QPR earlier this month. His brace at the weekend took him over the 20 goal mark for the season, only Norwich's Teemu Pukki (23) and Sheffield United's Billy Sharp (22) having scored more Championship goals than Adams (21) in 2018/19.

Still only 22-years-old, Adams has been in sizzling form, and boss Garry Monk will have no doubt as to the importance of a player who has scored a higher % of his team's Championship goals this season (41%) than any player.  

The play-offs are still a genuine possibility for the Midlanders, who currently sit eighth in the Championship table on 47 points - six behind Bristol City who occupy the final play-off spot at present.

The Blues and Adams will now focus on their next league clash this coming Saturday against Hull City - who will be looking to bounce back from a 5-1 hammering at Brentford last weekend.
