According to journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Paris Saint-Germain have now all but completed the transfer of Gabriel Moscardo from Brazilian Serie A giants, Corinthians.
It has been reported that PSG will sign the young Brazilian for a fee in the region of 20 million euros with two million euros worth of add-ons in the deal. He will re-join Corinthians on loan until June 2024, mid-way through the Serie A campaign and he will link up with PSG ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
The 18-year-old midfielder began his professional career with Corinthians in 2023 and made 25 appearances for ‘The Great Team’ last season.
Internationally, Gabriel Moscardo has represented the Brazilian national team at U23 level and could play for Brazil at the Olympic Games in Paris this summer.
He had been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in recent months but instead becomes Paris Saint-Germain’s second signing of the January transfer window.
Luis Enrique’s Ligue 1 league leaders completed the £15.5 million signing of Lucas Beraldo from Sao Paulo earlier this month with the 20-year-old defender going straight into PSG’s first-team squad having already made his debut.
The deal has continued France’s fairly heavy month of spending with the 18 Ligue 1 clubs having now spent over £110 million between them all combined in the last few weeks – which is the most of any league in the world at the moment.
