Next up on the list, it’s a promising young centre-back who has been capped by the Republic of Ireland at Under-21 level. A rock at the heart of Derby County's defence, it's Eiran Cashin.
Eiran Cashin was part of the tremendously talented group of Derby County youngsters that clinched the U18s Premier League title in the 2018/19 season, the Young Rams defeating Bukayo Saka's Arsenal 5-2 in the final.
Most of the ‘Class of 19’ have continued to perform at a high level, with many - including Cashin - now playing under Paul Warne since the former Rotherham manager's arrival at Pride Park last September.
Still only 21, Cashin has played an integral role in Derby's play-off push in League One this term, clocking up more minutes than any other outfield player (3753).
A leader and front foot defender, it's no surprise that he leads his team in tackles won (80), interceptions (76), and clearances (174).
Firecely competitive in the air, Cashin also leads the entire division for aerial duels won (293).
Despite his impressive performances, Cashin was surprisingly overlooked as a nomination for the EFL Young Player of the Season award.
Nevertheless, he is undoubtedly one of the hottest prospects in League One and Derby will hope for another big performance from him this Sunday when the Rams travel to Sheffield Wednesday looking to book their place in the play-offs.
With several clubs from further up the ladder reportedly keeping tabs on the young defender, it's difficult to envision Cashin remaining in League One regardless of how Derby County end this season.
