Joel Piroe secured a last-minute victory for Leeds United as they fought back to beat Preston North End 2-1 at Elland Road, narrowing the gap to the Championship automatic promotion spots to four points.
The game had a thrilling start, with Will Keane scoring for the visitors in the second minute of the game.
However, Daniel Farke's men quickly responded and levelled just four minutes later as Junior Firpo provided a cross for Dan James to head in.
Despite facing significant pressure in the second half, Preston appeared set to secure a draw. That was until Piroe calmly converted a penalty in stoppage time, capitalising on a situation where the ball bounced onto the arm of Preston midfielder Ryan Ledson.
The win saw Leeds close the gap on the top two back to four points as league leaders Leicester and third-placed Ipswich face each other on Monday night.
