Leeds cruised to a confortable 3-0 win over Millwall, thanks to Joel Piroe scoring twice and Georginio Rutter adding one more goal.
The game had its share of controversy, particularly with the opening goal in the 15th minute after the hosts were upset because they believed there was a foul on Kevin Nisbet in the build-up to the goal.
However, the referee Chris Kavanagh, saw it as a collision between Piroe and Nisbet, deeming it a minor incident. Piroe then swiftly moved down the pitch, in an excellent teamwork with Wilfried Gnonto and Georginio Rutter, ultimately calmly slotting the ball into the net.
After this, Millwall struggled to recover, and their performance dipped in the second half. Although Gary Rowett's team appeared more motivated after half-time, they couldn't seriously challenge Illan Meslier except for a weak shot from Tom Bradshaw.
The visitors then sealed their victory with two quick goals in the second half, scored by Piroe in the 77th minute and Rutter in the 81st minute.
This win was significant as it marked Leeds' first victory at Millwall in more than 11 years and kept them in contention with the top teams in the league.
They climbed to tenth place in the standings, while Millwall found themselves in a disappointing 18th place.
