Huddersfield Town have named Mark Fotheringham as the new Terriers manager following the dismissal of Danny Schofield.
Fotheringham represented Celtic, Norwich City, and Fulham among others during his playing days before making the switch to coaching after his retirement.
Last season Fotheringham served as assistant manager to notorious German manager Felix Magath at Hertha Berlin – Huddersfield players will be hoping their new boss hasn’t picked any tips on discipline by the manager once nicknamed ‘Saddam’.
The 38-year-old has signed a contract with the club until 2025 and has a tough task ahead of him. The Terriers are 23rd in the Championship table and look like a very different side that pushed for promotion under Carlos Corberán.
Huddersfield travel to face Reading at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday in what will be Foderingham’s first game in charge.
