England edged past Tunisia with 1-0 triumph in their U20 World Cup Group E opener on Monday at the Diego Maradona Stadium in Buenos Aires.
The Young Lions displayed dominance in the first half and secured a well-deserved 1-0 lead at half-time.
In the 25th minute, Dane Scarlett showcased his strength by outmuscling his defender and heading Harvey Vale's lovely cross into the net, beyond Tunisia's goalkeeper Dries Arfaoui.
Tunisia exhibited a livelier performance in the second half, but Ian Foster's side maintained control of the game, ultimately securing a one-goal victory and claiming the top position in Group E.
Up next, England will face Uruguay on Thursday in their upcoming match, followed by their final group-stage encounter against Iraq on Sunday.
