Burnley have extended their current unbeaten run of form to four matches but were left frustrated as they had to settle for a point against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Turf Moor.
The Clarets, who scrapped away for a point with ten men at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, took the lead in the 37th minute via Jacob Bruun Larsen.
However, deep into first-half stoppage-time, Gary O’Neil’s Wolves struck back with an equalising goal from Algerian left wing-back Rayan Ait-Nouri.
That draw means Burnley remain firmly in the bottom three and the relegation places with Vincent Kompany’s Lancastrians now six points adrift of safety after Nottingham Forest hammered Fulham by three goals to one at the City Ground.
On the other hand, Wolves will also feel like it was a major missed opportunity as they aim for a top seven or eight finish and potential European qualification.
The visitors are sitting tenth in the Premier League table and are two points adrift of Newcastle in eighth place with eight games of the campaign to go.
