After both teams had a rough start losing their first three games, Sheffield United and Everton played out an exciting Premier League match that ended in a 2-2 draw to earn their first point of the season.
Sheffield United began the game strongly, but it was Everton who took the lead when Abdoulaye Doucoure scored their first league goal of the season by poking in a rebound.
The Blades responded well, with Gustavo Hamer forcing Everton's goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, to make a great save. They eventually levelled when Cameron Archer smoothly side-footed the ball into the net after a well-executed team play.
Just before halftime, Sheffield United's luck continued to improve as Archer's shot hit the post and then deflected off the unfortunate Pickford, finding its way into the net.
However, Everton made a comeback in the second half when Arnaut Danjuma tapped in from close range after a cross from Nathan Patterson to the back post, securing a point for Sean Dyche's team.
Sheffield United came incredibly close to securing a dramatic victory in the 99th minute, but Oli McBurnie's header was miraculously pushed onto the crossbar by Pickford, who then managed to divert the rebound onto the post.
