Leeds United secured a comeback 2-2 draw against Cardiff City in the Championship opener at Elland Road on Sunday.
Leeds dominated the initial minutes of the game with Wilfried Gnonto missing two good opportunities.
Despite Leeds' early control, Cardiff took the lead in the 26th minute, through Josh Bowler, who managed to convert from close range after his initial shot had been blocked by a Leeds defender.
The hosts fell two goals behind when Ike Ugbo scored from inside the six-yard box after Aaron Ramsey's shot was blocked.
Leeds kept insisting after the break and Liam Cooper's powerful header from around eight yards out earned them a well-deserved goal with four minutes into the second half.
Despite Ugbo having a chance to restore Cardiff's two-goal lead, most of the opportunities were created by Leeds, with Gnonto's shot hit the crossbar and Daniel James' low strike was stopped by Jak Alnwick.
Cardiff's strategy seemed effective until Crys Summerville broke through their defense in the fifth minute of added time.
The Dutch forward reacted quickly to a blocked shot on the edge of the area and calmly placed a low shot into the bottom corner from 15 yards out, securing the equaliser.
Next up, Daniel Farke's side will host Shrewsbury Town on Wednesday for the Carabao Cup before traveling to Birmingham the following Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Bluebirds will take on League Two side Colchester on Wednesday and then host QPR on Saturday.
