While we all draw breath in the calm before the storm of a new season - here's a look at the players who have supplied a whirlwind of assists so far in 2019.
Trent and the Three Championship Playmakers
Liverpool full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold will look back fondly on 2019 having helped the Merseysiders win the Champions League - and the young England international has excelled in an offensive sense for the Reds: contributing 9 Premier League assists in 2019.
Level with Alexander-Arnold on 9 league assists this year are three creative midfielders, all of whom played their football in the second tier last term, namely Emiliano Buendia, Said Benrahma and Kamil Grosicki. The Championship trio were in storming form during the 2018/19 run-in and Buendia was instrumental in helping Norwich City go up as champions.
