Gonzalo Higuain and Eden Hazard scored twice as Chelsea secured a 5-0 win over bottom-of-the-table Huddersfield at Stamford Bridge.
Higuain opened the scoring after 16 minutes with his first goal for Chelsea, who came under scrutiny after they were thrashed 4-0 by Bournemouth on Wednesday. Hazard made it 2-0 with a penalty in first-half injury-time and then added the third in the 66th minute.
And just three minutes later Higuain got his second, curling in a shot from the edge of the area, with the help of a deflection. David Luiz added a fifth in the closing minutes, with a powerful header from a corner that was deflected into his own net by Kachunga.
Maurizio Sarri: "We need consistency, so we have to continue. I am very happy with the match and I hope in the future we will not need a lost match to play with the right mentality. It's not easy in England to get top four. The league is so competitive here, there are six big teams. We have to work and we have to fight."
Jan Siewert: "We tried everything to beat them but they showed they are also very hungry because of their defeat against Bournemouth. We missed several moments when we could have shot. It's possible to threaten but you have to shoot. Sometimes the ball goes for a corner or goes to goal, which is the important thing."
