In their first game of the 2018/19 edition of the Premier League, Manchester United turned over a dogged Leicester at Old Trafford (2x1) to start the season with a win.
Early in the game, Amartey touched the ball with his right arm, resulting in a penalty for the home team that Paul Pogba did not waste.
In the second half, after a counter-attack, Luke Shaw increased United's advantage with his first goal for the club. Leicester responded well and a cross from Ricardo led to Jamie Vardy pulling one back late in the game.
Without hitting the heights, José Mourinho´s men secured three points from the Premier League's opening fixture to top the division.
