La Liga players dominating goal charts

The goals have been flowing fairly freely at World Cup 2018 - and the majority of them have been imported from La Liga. Diego Costa's matchwinner yesterday v Iran was the 16th goal to be scored by a player plying his trade in Spain - as well as the Atletico Madrid striker's 3rd of the competition.

In the World Cup goal stakes, La Liga leads the Premier League - who currently sit second in the rankings. Tottenham's Harry Kane (2), Manchester United's Romelu Lukaku (2), Manchester City's Kun Aguero (1) and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah were the scorers of the 6 goals coming from English clubs on the stat below - with Tottenham's Christian Eriksen adding another to the tally in Denmark's 1-1 draw with Australia today.
