Adebayo Akinfenwa: And that's why they call him «The Beast»

Many have said that he is was too big to play football, but he has proved them all wrong and we have the stats to prove it. Over the last decade Adebayo Akinfenwa has been the top scorer in League One and League Two matches with a total of 131 goals. "The Beast" added one more to his goal sheet on Saturday in Wycombe's win over Colchester (3x1) and was quick to comment on a Playmaker stat lauding his achievements.

This season "The Beast" seems to be gunning for a new personal record for most goals in the same campaign, and he has already scored 14 in 29 matches for Wycombe. His record total is 18 goals, a number he has reached on two occasions; last season with his current club and in 2011/12 with Northampton Town. Moreover, this season he has been involved in 19 goals for Wanderers - assisting on six occasions.

Over the last few years, Akinfenwa has revelled in being the strongest player featuring on EA Sports' FIFA...until FIFA 18 came out and handed that title to Panamanian Roman Torres of the Seattle Sounders.
