Ben White signs new long-term contract at Arsenal

Ben White has committed to staying with Arsenal by agreeing to a fresh "long-term contract" that is expected to run until the summer of 2028, with the option of a further year.

The English defender has solidified his position as Mikel Arteta's preferred choice for the right-back position. 

The 26-year-old defender joined the Gunners from Brighton & Hove Albion for a £50 million fee in June 2021 and since then he appeared in 122 matches for Arsenal across all competitions.

White joins the likes of Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard, who have extended their contracts in the past few months.

Despite his move to Arsenal, White has only earned four senior caps for England so far. He has not been included in Gareth Southgate's plans since his early departure from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
