Neil Warnock has joined the Torquay United board as Paul Wotton has been appointed the club's manager.
The Gulls finished 18th in the National League South this season although did receive an 11-point penalty after going into administration.
Now the club has confirmed that 75-year-old Neil Warnock has joined the club's board as an advisor following a managerial comeback that included stints at Huddersfield Town and Aberdeen.
"We are delighted Neil is joining the Board," said Michael Westcott, the co-Chairman of the Bryn Consortium that has agreed to acquire the club.
"He brings an unrivalled wealth of football knowledge and experience to Torquay United as we look to rebuild.
"There is a strong chemistry and mutual respect between Neil and Paul [Wotton] and we are excited about their approach to building a squad and the uncompromising brand of football they want our team to play."
Wotton helped Truro City to promotion to the National League South and had previously had a lengthy stint at Plymouth Argyle as a player as well as previously having worked as the club's assistant manager.
