Paris Saint-Germain have been crowned Ligue 1 champions for the 10th time in 12 years after second-placed Monaco fell to defeat.
The Monégasques needed a positive result away to Lyon in today's game to keep PSG's champagne on ice for a little longer.
However, despite taking the lead in the first minute of the game through Wissam Ben Yedder, Monaco eventually lost 3-2.
Alexandre Lacazette and Saïd Benrahma scored in quick succession to put Lyon ahead before the break.
Ben Yedder equalised on the hour mark for Adi Hutter's side but Malick Fofana came on from the bench to win the game for Lyon and ensure that PSG are champions with an insurmountable 12-point lead.
Despite that defeat, Monaco remain second but will need to look over their shoulder at Brest and Lille who are just behind them. Lyon meanwhile are getting closer to European football after a disastrous start to the season.
