Leicester City have sacked women's first team manager Willie Kirk following an internal investigation according to reports.
The Scottish manager was under investigation due to an alleged relationship with one of the team's players with leading figures of the women's game speaking out at the unprofessional nature of player-manager relationships in recent weeks.
Now according to Suzanne Wrack of The Guardian, the club has sacked Kirk who has not been in the dugout since Leicester City's 4-0 defeat at home to Chelsea although there has yet to be an official announcement.
Since then assistant manager Jennifer Foster and first team coach Stephen Kirby have taken charge in which the Foxes defeated Liverpool to reach the FA Cup semi-final but then lost the following two league games to Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton & Hove Albion.
