AC Milan and Inter have agreed a deal which will see Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini switch places.
Antonio Cassano had expressed his wish to exit AC in the summer transfer window following the sale of several players, including Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who joined PSG last month.
The 30-year-old attacker will move to Inter Milan, while Pazzini will head in the opposite direction, meaning both sides retain their current striking stock.
According to reports, the two players will undergo medicals on Tuesday before completing their respective switches.
"The exchange has yet to be concluded but who would not like Cassano?" the nerazzurri president, Massimo Moratti, told gazzetta.it.
Giampaolo Pazzini told Sport Mediaset: "Am I pleased to take the place of Inzaghi? I'm happy, very happy. I found out about this agreement yesterday and I'm very happy."
