Europa League: Favourites progress to second round

Twente, Rsenborgand Lech Poznan are three of the teams which have managed to qualify for the second round of the Europa League qualifiers.

The Dutch club had no difficulties to eliminate Santa Colomba, from Andorra, scoring a 9-0 result, on aggregate, after winning the second leg game, 0-3, thanks to the efforts of Willem Janssen, Peter Wisgerhof and Glynor Plet.

As for Rosenborg, they threw Northern Irish side Crusaders off the competition. After having won the first leg by 3-0, the Norwesian side beat Crusaders by 1-0, in the second leg with Peter Ankersen scoring the winner.

Finally, Lech Poznan also secured a place at the second round of the Europa League qualifiers, having defeated Zhetysou, from Kazakhstan, by 3-1, on aggregate. Therefore, a 1-1 draw, in the second leg were enough for Zhetysou to progress, as they had scored a 2-0 win, last week.
