Maurizio Sarri has left Chelsea to take over the reins at Serie A champions Juventus.
Sarri, who has signed a three-year deal with Juve, led the Blues to third in the Premier League and won the Europa League in his one season in charge.
The former Napoli boss returns to Italy with reports suggesting that a compensation package of £5 million has been agreed between the two clubs.
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia said: "In talks we had following the Europa League final, Maurizio made it clear how strongly he desired to return to his native country, explaining that his reasons for wanting to return to work in Italy were significant.
"He also believed it important to be nearer his family, and for the well-being of his elderly parents he felt he needed to live closer to them at this point."
Sarri becomes the ninth full-time manager to part ways with Chelsea under the regime of Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich, who bought the club back in 2003.
Former Stamford Bridge legend Frank Lampard is now being strongly linked with the Blues' vacant managerial position after completing his first season in management at Championship club Derby County.
Aside from his glittering playing career and standing at Chelsea, Lampard's knowledge of the Blue's academy and youth set-up is seen as particularly attractive given the two-window transfer ban dished out to the Londoners by FIFA, a decision they are currently appealing.
