Eden Hazard has joined Real Madrid from Chelsea for a fee that could surpass £150m.
The writing was on the wall after Hazard effectively bid farewell to the Blues after their Europa League victory over Arsenal in Baku last month - and he yesterday signed a five-year deal with Los Blancos.
Hazard said he was "not a Galactico, but I'll try to be" and emphasised the role Real boss Zinedine Zidane played in his decision to move to the Bernabeu.
"Everyone knows Zidane was my idol growing up," he said. "That he is the coach has been an important factor but not the only one. I already wanted to play here."
Hazard joins Real after establishing himself as Chelsea's main man since he moved to London from Lille in 2012/13.
The Belgian is undoubtedly Real's marquee signing this summer - but he is not going to get his hands on the number 10 he sported at Stamford Bridge.
"I've been lucky enough to talk to (Luka) Modric through (Mateo) Kovacic, I jokingly asked him to leave me number 10 and he said no," said Hazard. "The number for me is not important."
