Tranmere Rovers goalkeeper Scott Davies will stride out at Wembley tomorrow - knowing Man City's Ederson is the only stopper to keep more clean sheets than him this season.
Rovers take on Newport County in the League Two play-off final tomorrow, a year after success at the same venue earned them promotion to the fourth tier from the National Conference.
Davies and co have been riding the wave ever since, and dominating stats at both ends of the pitch. Striker James Norwood has been in stunning form all season: with 32 goals across all competitions, while Davies has marshalled a watertight defence that has recorded 22 clean sheets during the current campaign.
In fact, Ederson (25) is the only goalkeeper in the top 4 tiers who can boast more shutouts than Davies. However, it should be noted that his opposite number on Saturday, Joe Day, has also enjoyed an excellent season with Newport and trails by only a single clean sheet.
Wembley is playing host to all three EFL play-off finals over the Bank Holiday weekend: Charlton and Sunderland contesting League One's decider on Sunday, before Villa and Derby clash in the Championship showpiece on Monday.
