Leeds United's assault on automatic promotion from the Championship continued last night with a 3-0 win at Reading - two goals from playmaker Pablo Hernandez putting him in esteemed company this season.
Already joint top in terms of assists (11) in the second tier this season, Hernandez followed up Mateusz Klich's opener at the Madejski Stadium with two further goals to seal the points and propel United to the top of the table.
The 33-year-old's double against the Royals took Hernandez into double figures for league goals in 2018/19 and, in the process, elevated him to only the 4TH player across the 'Top 5' UEFA leagues and the Championship to score AND assist 10+ league goals this season.

The feat has not been managed by a single player in the Bundesliga, Serie A or Ligue 1 during their current campaigns. La Liga has one player to do a 'double double - and unsurprisingly it's Lionel Messi, who has been involved in an incredible 38 goals (26 goals and 12 assists) so far this term. On English shores, Eden Hazard (13 goals and 11 assists) is the only player to manage it in the Premier League, while special mention should go to Lukas Jutkiewicz who actually beat Hernandez to the punch: the Birmingham City striker - who has 10 goals and 10 assists to his name - reaching double figures in both categories in the Championship prior to the Leeds United man.
Leeds will watch with interest tonight, as Norwich City - who they dislodged from top spot last night - host Hull City looking to reestablish a two point advantage.
