The victory was the Blues' 77TH EFL win since the start of 2015/16 - Oliver Hawkins netting their winner against the Fishermen to commemorate his 50th Pompey appearence.
Pompey's lead in the League One's standings is now a comfortable six-points over second-placed Peterborough.
