After one win in 10 games, push came to shove for Aston Villa - who this week sacked Steve Bruce and replaced him with former Brentford manager Dean Smith.
Smith leaves the Bees - a team he led to consecutive top-10 finishes in the Championship in his three seasons in charge - to inherit a team that is currently 12th in the Championship with 15 points. The club is on a run of only one victory in its last nine in the second tier.
However, Smith can find some solace in the fact that the Villans are one of only four top 4 tier teams to have scored in every league game in 2018/19 - Sunderland, Leicester and Tottenham the others to manage this feat.
