Cook's recipe for success

The Latics are having a mixed season in their return to the Championship with 5 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats. Yesterday, Paul Cook's side drew nil against Swansea, in their fourth clean sheet of the current edition.

The Latics drew 0-0 against Swansea, racking up their fourth clean sheet of the current season and maintaining their astonishing defensive record under Cook, who took charge in 2017/18 having led Portsmouth to the League Two title the previous season.

Since Cook arrived no team in the top 4 tiers has kept more league clean sheets than Wigan - who have an impressive tally of 31. 

The Latics, currently 7th in the second tier, travel to Preston on Saturday.
