Lyon roar at Etihad

Manchester City's Champions League campaign got off to a poor start as the Premier League champions suffered a surprise home defeat against Lyon (1-2).

Cornet and Fekir scored in the first half, with Bernando Silva reducing the arrears for City in the second half - but an equaliser did not arrive in front of a half-full Etihad. 

After the match, City coaching assistant Mikel Arteta said, “We know the group stage is really tough. We have to review the game to see where we came up short and try to improve”.
