The glamourous Ronaldo may top the goalscoring charts, but it is no-frills Milner who leads the way for Champions League assists (7) in 2017/18. His most recent was a bit of a gimme, if we're honest, as he pretty much tackled the ball to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who surprised everyone in the Etihad, and possibly even himself, by smashing an exocet missile of a finish past a bewildered Ederson in the Man City goal. Still, they all count and Milner has 3 more assists than the next best: Kevin De Bruyne, team-mate Roberto Firmino and Neymar Jr. Which is none too shabby!
