Third African to hit four goals in a Premier League match

No stopping Salah

Last Friday Mohamed Salah scored four of Liverpool's 5 goals in his team's home win against Watford. By doing so, the Egyptian forward became the third African player to score four goals in a single Premier League match. His personal tally this season has risen to 28 league goals which puts him at the top of the Golden Shoe rankings - ahead of Lionel Messi and Ciro Immobile.

Salah now joins a list of African sharpshooters that includes Nigeria's Ekoku and Yakubu: the latter scoring four goals on two occasions, first for Portsmouth (2004) and then for Blackburn Rovers (2011).

But that's not all! The Egyptian scorching form has seen him score more goals in just 41 matches for the Reds than he managed in two very respectable seasons for Roma. With Liverpool he has hit the net on 36 occasions, at an incredible average of 0.83 goals per game.
