Young English prospect Kieran Dowell is pulling up trees at Nottingham Forest - and his lethal left foot is the talk of the Championship.
Loanee Dowell looked poised to return to Everton in the January transfer window, but new Forest manager Aitor Karanka has secured the young midfielder's services until the end of the season - and is clearly delighted.
“It was really important to get him tied down for the rest of the season because he is a really talented player. He is strong, he is powerful, he has everything to be a top player,” said Karanka.
Dowell has been on fire in the 2017/18 Championship season so far; involved in 13 Championship goals (9 goals and 4 assists) to this point. All NINE of Dowell's strikes have come courtesy of his cultured left foot - four of them, including his strike in Forest's recent 0-2 win at league leaders Wolves - notched from outside the box.
