Pazzini ruled out for up to six months

AC Milan striker Giampaolo Pazzini has been ruled out of action for an estimated four to six months, due to a knee injury.

The 28-year-old, who played 45 minutes in Milan's  2-1 win over Siena that sealed third spot in the Serie A table last weekend, underwent a knee surgery in Belgium, this week, to solve the injury.

"AC Milan wishes to communicate that Giampaolo Pazzini has undergone surgery on his right knee," read a statement on the club's official website.

Pazzini scored a total of 15 goals in 30 league appearances for the Rossoneri, after arriving at the club from Inter Milan at the start of the 2012-13 campaign.
